Deck of the Day: Mono-Red aggro (Theros standard)

• 4 Burning Earth
• 1 Hammer of Purphoros
• 2 Chandra, Pyromaster
• 4 Mizzium Mortars

And almost as expected with the start of a new Standard season the first major tournament is taken down by Mono-Red.  This particular build takes full advantage of the new Devotion mechanic from Theros with Fanatic of Mogis.  Ash Zealot, Burning-Tree Emissary and Boros Reckoner help load up on red mana symbols.  Imagine an opening of T1-Rakdos Cackler, T2-Emissary, Firefist Striker, T3-Reckoner into T4-Fanatic which is potentially 16 damage before your attack on the fourth turn.  Only time will tell if Mono-Red becomes outclassed in this new Standard world but by the looks of this deck it should be around to lay down the smacketh down for a while.
